Expedit-ially Better

I have never met a pun I didn't like. Once again I've changed our entryway.

Last time we spoke things looked like this:

And it was okay. A little too monolith from 2001 for my liking.

I mean, I love Kubrick but do I want to live in Kubrick? Plus it was totally throwing off the balance of the room. It made the wall far too dark and looming.

So, last week I was cleaning the living room and got in my head to change things up. Like an idiot I lugged the monolith upstairs. On my own. Like a fool. If I'd dropped it I would have broken many things and probably reenacted a scene from A Fish Called Wanda. Just the thought of a beagle splatter tears me up.

I promise to never do it again, honey. (James was not pleased when he heard about this, by the way.)  We had two of these expedits in the office because we're a young couple and its required by law to have at least one. Anyway, I thought something shorter and lighter would fit the bill.

The mirror came from our dressing room and I love how much more light it gives the room. Also, I can write James messages.

Plus it's very slimming. Haha.

It only needed a little more so I hung up the cork-board for important things (like a cousins' wedding invitation!) and our meal planning and chore sheets. The latter need frames still but I like them there -- command center achieved.
